Mega Drive Retro Emulator Console

Raspberry Pi 3 built into a Sega Mega Drive II case, finished!


Controller has been converted to a USB hub with three ports. Future plan is to make the buttons work, for the fourth conroller.


The game cartridges contain a USB drive. The system boots from the USB cartridg, making it easily OS-swappable. Proof of concept:

Due to the layout of the Raspberry Pi board I had to route the USB power cable outside the case. If I make a permanent version (Raspberry Pi is currently removable) I could just solder it to the board instead.
